new any% record - 15:55.9 15:50.2 15:36.2 by SDA timing
video forthcoming

I have worked on this game more than any other, so I'm satisfied to see my times finally approaching what is humanly possible, rather than merely being faster than others.

Congrats on the new WR Cak! :D Looking forward to this one!
Amazing! I love your 2-boss run on sda, so I'm on the edge of my seat for this run.
Thanks! I'm still debating whether to improve the time a bit more, but a video will definitely be published before April.
UPDATE: Already improved it. The new run is a bit sloppier in some ways, but I might hang on to it, since it's sub-16 from title screen.
Great work, I see you have gotten a 14 second improvment already, thats insane! :D

When will we be able to feast our eyes on the run? I know you have submitted a run to sda also.

I would love to see you stream sometime in the future! :D

I've already uploaded the 15:50 to sda, but it sounds like I'll be able to reupload.
Impressive run! Well played.
Most awesome! I wrote on SDA that a person is allowed to "update" his submission with a better run! ;)

Hehe, have you even thought of streaming sometime? I am still hoping to do that documentary someday! ;)
Hey cak, hope you're still checking this forum. I just watched your run for the first time as it just got published on sda now. I was definitely not disappointed. Unbelievably good! I still don't get how you could save so much time over your previous record. I remember having watching jprophet stream attempts a few times and it looked like already that 17-min run would have been tough enough to beat. Well, either way congrats.

Thanks ktwo! The 17:15 was my first speedrun ever, so I wasn't all that thorough with my research. In a way, it was simply dumb luck that no one had achieved such a time yet. The Tourian skip wasn't optimized, nor the Mother Brain fight, nor a slew of other things. These days I don't do a run without researching it to a bloody pulp.

Even 15:36 isn't quite flawless, but it's unbeatable to most people, and that's good enough for me.
Yeah, you have maxed this out pretty much, most awesome!
