How "Helloooooooow!" can you go?

So I guess this deserves to be thought about at some point. Svenne created two (2) for last year, but he's busy this year. I'm in the middle of making another video/documentary. But anyway this is the thread for ideas. We could for example use little clips actually from this year's event. Anyone have anything?

Hm the ideas depend on how the long you intend the video to be. I would suggest some highlights from this year, short interviews with the founders or so. Upcoming infos for the next ESA (maybe some short commentary/interview clips from runners who will be there next year or intend to come over and run like me). And regarding the music, remember just to tell me if you need something from me and I'll email it to you

dont have to make it that special.. just look at agdq theirs are always nice but without intrerviews

I suggest just clips/pics/highlights from this years ESA. No interviews, but some nice background soundtrack. I.E. don't need to produce new material (which is time consuming) but pick something from all the existing footage. Nice highlights would be such as Josh's WR in GTA San Andreas, Svennes rage quit in the TailSpin-race vs Bangerra, 2 guys 1 controller - the epic Majoras Mask finale with Ennopp and GoronGuy, something from the Sunday Sequense Break episode etc.

I could try to make one. I know some film editing stuff (I use adobe premiere). I made this promo for a Starcraft 2 mod named Starbow as a point of refference:

I made this VOD with a much worse CPU and GPU than I have now, so if I make a new one it should look more crisp.

If I use footage from ESA 2013 then it will have to be ripped from youtube? Does anyone have the raw VOD files?

Let me know if you want me to try and I can make a small teaser and you can let me know if you like what you see.

I'm just happy if we get started in time for next years ESA promo..
This year we didn't even get a video because people that was in
the work for it never had enough time to finish it in time.

I dont think we have had any logo for any ESA unless u count the one that looked like a cube this year

I am planning to make a list of stuff that should/could be included from each game from 2013 ESA. I would like you to add suggestions as I am not too familiar with all games, nor remember all games played.

What parts from 2013 do you want in this? Anything memorable that should go in? This will not be a highlight VOD so all won't be in it, but it's more HYPE if the content looks good :)

I tried looking for the Sunday Sequence Break ESA edition on the I-net but couldn't find anything. It may have been just a podcast maybe? Anyway I was thinking there should be some live footage from the Nyeport site to show some of the practice room at least (with no bottles or food visible because there wasn't supposed to be any! :) ). Anyone have footage?

So I have some ideas and plans for the promo and I'll try and get started tonight.

I have one request however, for the sake of quality: Are there any raw footage of ESA 2013 in existence? Any video files out there. Not youtube nor twitch.

If it is only on twitch/youtube then I have to use some youtube downloader program at that weakens the quality.

you don't have to do that u can take down the raw video from twitch as well and that don't weaken the quality.
I have done it before on my own twitch, all you need is access to their history streams.

I will have to look into how you do it again was a while since I did it just know it is possible.
And sure I can link the heart but its not really a good picture..

I found a much easier way for downloading twitch streams now then it was when I did it long ago.

First you go to this site:
http://www.twitchtools.com/index.php
pick either highlight streams or past broad cast, input the url to that stream and take download.
Then when its done u click the download link that you get.

Next step requires a FLV downloader program, either find a good free one, pay for one or pirate one.
Then you input that link you got from the download page you clicked into the FLV downloader page and download it to your pc.

You will get the same quality that is on the stream from the start.

After a weekend of fighting with adobe premiere to import .flv files I finally give up. Sorry guys. I don't mind video editing but formatting files... bah. I have some files and ideas if anyone is interested in trying to make a promo.

So ironic. Adobe premiere is having trouble importing flv files which are specifically made for adobe flash.... Adobe *facepalm*
